Gifts of the Spirit – Here Are The 9 Gifts of the Holy Spirit

In addition to the 9 fruits of the Holy Spirit, the Bible also tells us that there are 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit.

For the record, we feel that the 9 fruits of the Holy Spirit are far more important than the 9 gifts.

As the 9 fruits of the Holy Spirit have to do with God infusing part of his divine nature into the core of our personality to help us become much better and holy people .

God’s ultimate goal for all of us is our sanctification in Him, and part of that sanctification process has to do with the Holy Spirit Himself imparting 9 specific divine qualities and attributes into our personalities.

I call the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit the Torpedo Gifts because the Holy Spirit can manifest any of these 9 gifts through any believer whenever He chooses.

Each one of these gifts are gifts of great power, and they are all direct, supernatural, miraculous manifestations directly from the Holy Spirit Himself.

And every Christian can put themselves in the right place to receive these 9 gifts, as the apostle Paul himself tells us we should not be afraid to receive these 9 special gifts to be raised up with the Lord.

Here is the direct verse from our Bible on the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit:

“But to everyone is the revelation of the Spirit benefit of all given; for to one is given the word of wisdom by the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the same Spirit, to another working wonders, to another prophecy, to one another spirit discernment, another different kinds of tongues, another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, allocating to each individually as he will.” (1 Corinthians 12:7-11)

Now I will each number and bold these 9 gifts of the Spirit so you can have them all at the top of this article at a very quick glance:

The Bible not only tells us that these 9 gifts of the Spirit are available to all believers stand, but goes one step further and tells us that we can Actually try to stimulate these 9 gifts in the Lord.

Here are 5 very good verses to tell us that not only can we yearn for spiritual gifts, but also should not be afraid to stimulate these gifts with the Lord :

1. “Therefore, brethren, sincerely desire to prophesy.” (1 Corinthians 14:39)

2. “…and desire spiritual gifts, but above all that you may prophesy.” (1 Corinthians 14:1)

3. “Do not quench the Spirit, do not despise prophecy.” (1 Thessalonians 5:19)

4. “Do not neglect the gift that is within you… Meditate on these things, surrender yourself to them, that your progress may be seen by all.” (1 Timothy 4:14)

5. “Therefore I remind you, by the laying on of my hands, to awaken the gift of God that is in you.” (2 Timothy 1:6)

As such, every believer should go to the Lord in prayer and ask Him to release these 9 gifts through them whenever He chooses.

Let God know that you are a willing vessel for the manifestations of these gifts and that you will give Him a full and solid green light to manifest these gifts through you anytime He chooses to do so.

These 9 gifts are of tremendous help and help not only to you on your personal walk with the Lord, but many of them can also be used to help other people when special needs and circumstances arise in their lives.

Notice that the very first line in this verse says that these 9 gifts will be given to everyone for the “benefit of all”.

As you reach each of the gifts, you can see exactly what each of these 9 gifts is about and how important they can become in your life if you just allow the Holy Spirit to manifest it through you anytime He wants.

The Word of Knowledge – The 9 Gifts of the Holy Spirit

Speak this first gift I will is the one that I believe will manifest most in your daily life with the Lord.

Since God has absolutely perfect knowledge of all things and we have levels of knowledge that are totally imperfect and are limited, which means that in order to travel safely through this life, we all need to receive words of knowledge from the Lord very regularly and frequently.

Therefore, I believe that the Holy Spirit will really Manifest this special gift very often in your daily life if you can learn t how you can pick her up from him when she comes in.

I believe the Holy Spirit manifests this gift much more than people believe, but they don’t realize it or don’t realize it when it comes their way because they have never been taught that the Holy Spirit is can do this for you in the first place.

These words of knowledge that come directly from the Holy Spirit can cover literally an infinite number of things in your daily life.

They can cover anything from very trivial things like From where you misplaced your car keys to life-saving knowledge on how to resolve a looming crisis or emergency.

Here are some specific examples of where you can get a direct word of knowledge from the Holy Spirit can receive covering just about anything and everything in your daily life:

1. How to solve a math problem as a student at school.
2. How to solve a specific problem at your workplace.
3. Where you ma You misplaced your car keys at.
4. Knowing what a specific Bible verse can mean and how it can apply to your personal life.
5. How to properly bear witness to an unsaved family member.
6. How to resolve a marital dispute.
7. How to start a new business.
8. Where to look for the next new en job when you just got laid off.
9. Who God wants you to marry in this life.
10. Counseling someone who has just witnessed impending tragedy hit them hard.
11. What will be your special calling in the Lord in this life.
12. Word of knowledge that God wants to heal someone of a certain disease.

As you can see from examples like this, there is literally nothing that the Holy Spirit cannot enter in your own personal life that He can then give you want to know how to properly handle something you are dealing with, or give you a word of knowledge to help someone else with what they may be dealing with.

With Since our own knowledge is so limited, so imperfect, and so incomplete, we all need words of knowledge from the Lord periodically in this life so that we can make it through this life in one piece and get where we need it with Him in ours to walk divine purpose.

How exactly does the Holy Spirit impart an actual word of knowledge to us? I believe the most important way He will impart a word of knowledge to us is inward knowledge.

The Bible says the Holy Spirit will bear witness becomes ” with our human spirit.

I call this inner testimony the inner knowing. Suddenly you get an knowledge beyond doubt about the knowledge He is trying to impart to you. It may come in the form of a thought or impression in your mind, or possibly a vision or picture in your mind’s eye.

I have found from personal experience that the Holy Spirit loves to know through to convey those images that are really visions in your mind’s eye. These pictures can be used to give you quite a bit of information and knowledge about what He is trying to give you knowledge about.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words and sometimes much more information and knowledge can be given to you through a simple picture, rather than trying to give you all the words or phrases depending on what exactly you are dealing with.

The only problem with these pictures in your mind’s eye is that you must learn to tell the difference when a vision comes in from the Holy Spirit and when a vision comes in from your own natural imagination, as your own natural imagination has the power and ability to conjure up its own mental images in your mind’s eyes .

Over time, the Holy Spirit can teach you how to tell the difference between the two if you really want Him to do this for you . This is something you can learn how to do with Him through a process of trial and error.

That is why this special gift is as important and as necessary in this day and age as it is for most of us We regularly face some roadblocks or obstacles in our daily lives.

As such, we all need the knowledge of God flowing through us so that we can make it through all those obstacles, and then with that to get where we need to go with the Lord and fully fulfill whatever He wants for us to do for Him in this life.

This is why the Bible tells us that “without knowledge” we can perish and go into captivity in this life.And sometimes only the supernatural knowledge of God can help keep us from harm in this life, since our own knowledge and intelligence are so imperfect and so limited.

The Word of Wisdom – The 9 Gifts of the Holy Spirit

This next gift sometimes works in conjunction with the word of knowledge. Sometimes all you need is a direct word of knowledge from the Holy Spirit, and it will completely solve the problem or dilemma you are dealing with.

However, there will be other times when where a word of knowledge will not be enough to solve the problem. Now here is where you need a word of wisdom. A Word of Wisdom will give you the ability to properly apply whatever knowledge you may already have to a specific situation.

In our Seeking the Knowledge of God article, we explain it to you Difference between knowledge, understanding and wisdom. For example, if someone gives you a car manual that shows you how to overhaul a car engine, that manual will give you all the actual knowledge you need to learn how to do it. But all that knowledge won’t do you any good if you don’t first understand what you’re reading.

If you can understand what you’re reading, then the next and final step will be to gain actual wisdom about it be able to actually rebuild a car engine in your garage once you try. All this knowledge from the car manual and all this understanding of this knowledge will not do you any good in real life if you do not have the wisdom to apply this knowledge to a real work situation.

Therefore we all need it in our daily life Words of wisdom from the Holy Spirit to help us know how to deal with more complex types of problems or problems that may arise in our daily lives on a short-term basis.

Here are some specific examples where we can use words of wisdom receive directly from the Holy Spirit:

1. You just found out that your spouse has been cheating on you. You are going to need God’s wisdom right now on how exactly to deal with this crisis.
2. Your boss has just given you a new difficult assignment and you are not sure how to do the job properly. You will now need God’s knowledge and wisdom to successfully complete this new assignment.
3. Your finances are out of control and you need God’s guidance and wisdom on how to avoid bankruptcy.
4. You have just been named in an unjust trial and now you need God’s wisdom on how to handle it properly.

How As you can see, there are literally infinite ways in which you will need God’s wisdom to get you safely through the problem or dilemma you are now facing.

Again, since our own human intelligence So imperfect and so limited in their ability to apply genuine wisdom to handle and solve some of life’s truly difficult problems, we all need the wisdom of God flowing through our lives on a regular basis to help us face many of life’s adversities and which can be thrown at us at any time.

The Gift of Prophecy – The 9 Gifts of the Holy Spirit

This next gift is perhaps the greatest of the 9 Gifts of the Holy Spirit Holy Spirit. The reason I say this is that in the second verse above, the apostle Paul purposely emphasizes this gift when he tells you to seek the spiritual gifts.

He affirms in this verse “desire spiritual gifts, but most of all that you can prophesy.”

Since he is intentionally emphasizing the gift of prophecy over the other 9 gifts in this verse, I believe that this could be the case Tell us that the gift of prophecy could be the greatest of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit.

And if you think carefully about what that gift is about, I believe that he might have right the money.

The gift of prophecy is when you receive a direct word from the Lord that you normally give to someone else. And when I say a direct word, I mean the Lord’s message, which is literally given to you word for word.

If you receive one of these, you must try to either write or type everything, if you are able.

I don’t think there is anything greater than being able to receive a direct, clear, prophetic word from the Lord, someone else to give something to help them edify and build them up, or to help them with something specific that they are engaged in, where you are the actual messenger of that prophetic word for someone.

So they all need to be recorded and if possible written down.

However, there will be times when you cannot record it.

Suddenly the Holy Spirit will come to you give a direct, clear, prophetic word to give to someone else. You say the word to that person and then you’re done with it.It can be a very short word and it really doesn’t need to be recorded or written down.

But there will be other times when you will be in a place to record it properly. And depending on what the Lord is giving you a direct message about and how long it lasts, you should make every effort to put it down on paper, as they are real trophies and treasures when they come from the Lord.

The Bible tells us that God uses the gift of prophecy to speak edification, exhortation, and comfort to other people.

Here is the specific verse that gives us this direct revelation of what the main usage is of which is prophecy is all about:

“But he that prophesies speaks edification, and exhortation, and consolation unto men.” (1 Corinthians 14:4)

Many times prophecy is also used to confirm what was previously given to the person by the Lord. Sometimes God confirms for you what He has told you before, so you know that it really was He who was giving you that particular message all along.

And one of the ways He can confirm an earlier message He has already given you by giving you a direct prophecy through another believer.

Prophecies of the Lord can cover an extremely wide range of situations and subjects, from predictions of future events , as they used to do the OT to give one counsel, encouragement, confirmation, instruction, and possible correction when needed.

Also, all prophecy must be properly examined, as the Bible tells us, that there will always be a false prophet walking among us, along with the possibility of well-meaning believers prophesying out of their own imagination. Here is the verse that gives us this direct warning:

“Do not quench the mind. Don’t despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good.” (1 Thessalonians 5:19-21)

All prophecy must always be consistent with Scripture. If it doesn’t, it should be rejected immediately. God will never go against His own Word when bringing a prophetic word to anyone.

Again, any believer can have the Lord manifest this gift through them at any time that He chooses. You do not have to hold the actual office of prophet for God to reveal this gift through you from time to time.

The Bible tells us that in the last days God will pour out His Holy Spirit on all flesh and when He does, it means that our sons and daughters will prophesy.

This means that there will be many believers who will manifest this gift with frequency in the years to come.

When Paul says in the two verses above, “seriously desiring to prophesy” and “desiring spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy”, You know the Lord would really like to do this more with His children.

Again, if you would like the Lord to manifest this gift through you from time to time so that you can have a more direct ambassador for him to someone else, just go to him in prayer and tell him that s you would be more than happy to be a willing and devoted vessel for Him through which to manifest that special gift if He so desires.

And then keep your radar high, always be open and sensitive to the Holy Spirit when He desires to begin to manifest that gift through you so that He may use it to help build others and bring some comfort, joy, peace, or direction into their lives.

The Gift of Faith – The 9 Gifts of the Holy Spirit

This next gift, the gift of faith, comes directly from the Holy Spirit.

The Bible tells us that we all have a measure of faith that has already been given to us by the Holy Spirit Lord. God must give every human being a certain amount of faith or else we could not be saved, as the Bible tells us that by “faith” we are saved by grace.

And then our faith will continue to grow to a higher level in the course of our walk with the Lord as we draw closer to the Lord in our personal relationship with Him and increase our knowledge of Him through study of the Scriptures.

However, there will be times when our own level of faith in the Lord is not sufficient to do the work He asks of us. Here is an example:

Say God has manifested the gift of healing through you from time to time to heal a few minor ailments or illnesses in a few people.

Your trust and trust levels then start to build up because God is now starting to use you in this way and you have had some good success with these minor illnesses.

But then all of a sudden God tells you, that you should do it Walk up to a paraplegic, lay your hands on him, and then tell him to get out of his wheelchair and walk.

Suddenly you can immediately feel in your mind and spirit that your own level of belief will not be good enough or high enough to try and do this as you have never tried by anyone before healing something so serious.

And here the Holy Spirit will now move in grand style so that this miracle can be fully accomplished for the Lord.

The Holy Spirit then becomes His own manifest divine belief right within you so that you can now believe and act on that belief – so now you will have the real courage to go to that person and lay your hands on them and then tell them to get off in the wheelchair and start walking.

Sometimes it takes a higher level of faith to bring down a great miracle from the Lord, and if our faith isn’t high enough or good enough to do it, here then the direct faith of the Holy Spirit will be If you rise within us and fill the gap with our own imperfect levels of belief so that God can do this then manifest the miracle He intends to perform through us.

Sometimes God may ask you to do something that is outside of your comfort zone. Fear and panic will set in immediately because you have never done what He is asking you to do now.

If and when this ever happens to you, simply ask the Holy Spirit, His faith, courage, and boldness rise within you so that you may have His faith, strength, and courage to do what God asks of you.

This special gift could be a lifesaver depending on what God is asking you to do should do it. When God asks you to go into a burning building to save a child, there is a very good chance that the Holy Spirit will immediately manifest His faith and courage right within you so that you can take on this dangerous task.

Firefighters, police and our military especially need this special gift for acts of heroism, as many of them could easily overcome fear and panic which would then prevent them from completing a major rescue operation.

Again Again, there are a variety of situations and circumstances where you need this gift to manifest in you through the Holy Spirit. This is why the Holy Spirit is called the Helper in the Bible so that He can help you in many different areas of your daily life that you will have difficulty dealing with.

The Gifts of Healing – The 9 Gifts of the Holy Spirit

According to the article we just published, titled “The Great Commission—To Save, Heal, Deliver, and Disciple,” one of the things Jesus does for all of us wants us to do them. He is to pray for the sick.

And if we do that, they will often recover, which means He will heal them. So it should come as no surprise that we have the gift of healing as one of the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit.

This means that the Holy Spirit can manifest this special gift through any believer at any time, so He can then someone heal from any kind of sickness, sickness, or infirmity.

You do not have to have the gift of healing as some sort of full-time ministry in order to have the Holy Spirit do this through you. Again, this can happen to literally every single believer at any time with the Lord.

As such, this is another gift that you will definitely want to try and evoke in the Lord because there are just so many people who need some kind of healing because we are still struggling with all kinds of sickness, sickness and disease on a regular basis as a result of the Adamic curse still in full effect on this earth.

The Not only can Holy Spirit heal you directly with your own personal prayers to the Lord, but He can use you as an anointed vessel to manifest His healing power by helping you heal someone else – if you only have the courage to speak out what He wants you to say to that person and then lay hands on that person so that the healing power is transferred into their body to the affected part of the body that needs healing.

Bea Also note that the wording used in this verse is that these are the “gifts” of hea ling. The word “gifts” is plural, meaning there are different types of healings that the Lord wants to do.

Which people who regularly use this type of anointing have found that some people are more gifted and anointed in some areas than others.

For example, some people are more successful at curing back problems than others and use a stronger anointing to heal cancer. In other words, the Lord will sometimes specialize in the types of healing He desires to effect through an individual believer.

Your role is to simply tell the Lord that you want a large part in this special gift and then let Him decide how He wants to use you in that area and in which areas will be stronger than other areas.

If you desire the Lord to use you in this particular area, it would be our recommendation that you study and meditate on the verses in this one Article stands because it will show you that both God the Father in the OT and Jesus Christ in the NT have continually and regularly healed people.

And if God doesn’t change, and He is the same today as he was yesterday , then it means that he wishes to continue his healing ministry in this day and age and therefore will anoint his believers with his healing power through the Holy Spirit from time to time when they both need it for themselves or someone else for whom they might pray.

Working Miracles – The 9 Gifts of the Holy Spirit

This next gift of the Holy Spirit you can get in some really violent, breathtaking, mind-blowing, supernatural activity from Him .

Some of the various Bible dictionaries s describe the word miracle as follows:

• An intervention of God in the natural universe
• A phenomenon that transcends the laws of nature
• A divine act by which God reveals himself to man

Good examples of actual miracles found in the Bible include the following :

1. Jesus and the apostles healed and cast out demons from people.
2. Jesus turns water into wine at the wedding of Cana.
3. Jesus feeds 5000 people by multiplying 5 loaves of bread and two fish.
4. God divided the Red Sea for Moses and the children of Israel.
5. Daniel will not be eaten by the lions in the lions’ den.
6. Peter walks on water.

If you read the Bible very carefully from beginning to end study at the end, it is literally miracle after miracle with God the Father and Jesus Christ. Our God is a God who works miracles and He still loves to work them for His people.

The Bible says that God does not change, and if both He and Jesus are both in the OT as well as the NT, then God will want to work miracles in our day as well.

And if that particular gift is listed as one of the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit, then you know that God is trying to say to all of us that He still wants to do them, even in the jaded and skeptical times we live in now.

Again, don’t be afraid of this heavy gift from the Lord and do it Don’t quench the Holy Spirit with a lack of faith or belief if He ever wants to try to do that either for you or for other people you work with.

Remember, the Bible tells us Absolutely nothing is impossible with God, including any divine miracle He desires to perform.

The distinction ng of Spirits – The 9 Gifts of the Holy Spirit

This next gift is one that is really needed in the perilous and perilous times we are living in now.

The first thing What is striking about this gift is that the “s” in the word “spirits” is prefixed with a small “s.”, which means that it does not refer to the Holy Spirit. The only other spirits out there that this gift relates to are the following three types of spirits:

1. Demonic spirits
2. God’s Angel
3. Human spirits

What happens in this gift is that the Holy Spirit gives you supernatural discernment , insight and knowledge, which includes these three types of spirits. Often this Gift is used to fully uncover what is really going on and operating behind the scenes with someone.

Here’s how this Gift comes into play with each of these types of spirits.

A) Demonic Spirits – since demonic spirits are still allowed to roam the air and interact with us to some extent in this life, we really need this gift to operate in full today only to deal with that one type of evil spirit.

As you know, demons can often literally enter a person’s body if they have the proper legal rights to do so. But once inside someone’s body, they will try to hide and not show themselves.

You know, if they are caught inside that person’s body and exposed, they risk that that person will either find Jesus if they are not yet saved, or if it is a Christian, that person then seek deliverance from another believer.

Since some demons are very good at hiding inside someone once they have entered, God must activate this gift through some of His own so that they can recognize when a demon is inside located inside someone and reveal their presence.

Once the demon has been revealed, you can prepare the person for a release. But the first thing one can do is differentiate and realize that the demons are already inside that person in the first place.

There are several ways that this type of differentiation can work in this realm.

First, the people who have this gift of the Holy Spirit in operation will sometimes be able to “see” the demons manifesting through a person’s eyes. Sometimes the demons just can’t help themselves, and sometimes they rise up and show themselves through a person’s eyes. They will literally look right at you through that person’s eyes.

When you see this type of manifestation, you will see pure hatred and evil looking at you. You will be able to discover that this is not the person you are staying with. This type of gaze can also be captured on camera quite often, as demons sometimes like to show themselves when that person is being photographed. p>

Again, you need this gift of discerning spirits from the Holy Spirit to be able to see this when it happens, but it is very easy to see for the people who have this gift in full effect from the Holy Spirit have spirit.

The Holy Spirit can also help you recognize and sense demons in someone, either through a sense of smell or a sense of touch. Some people get a really queasy feeling in their stomachs, like they’re about to throw up, when they see or drive around someone who has a demon inside them.

I have a friend who has something special about her Gifting Holy Spirit, and this is always one of her messages when she knows she senses a demon inside someone.

Other people will be able to literally smell her presence, and her Odor is extremely noxious and toxic. People who have this kind of gift say it’s the worst smell they’ve ever smelled.

What the Holy Spirit does with this kind of gift is the curtains in the spiritual realm withdraw and allow yourself to either see, feel or smell the demons in the person they are in.

Then once the demons are revealed to be within that person, you can go inside to frame that person for deliverance if they are open to it.

Another way you can detect a demon inside someone is simply through a strong inner knowing or sense of the sacred Spirit.

You may not be able to see them in the person’s eyes as they arise and manifest, or feel or smell them, but you can have a strong inner knowing or feeling of it from the Sacred Ghost got person has demons inside.

B) God’s Angels – The Bible tells us that God’s angels are also spirit beings. They are ministering spirits.
